POMONA UDATE (SUN.)
With renewed confidence from his win in Round 9, Chad set out to have a good qualifying / practice session. Hord accomplished his goal. He qualified 1st and beat the nearest competitor by over half a second. The luck of the draw wielded an inversion of the top 8 in the field, meaning Chad would start in the 4th row. Chad had some of the best in the class in front of him and had his work cut out for him. The race proved to be a roller coaster ride for Hord and his team as Chad had to avoid crashes around him and inexplicable yellow flags. He came across the line in a respectable 5th place. This weekend proved to be a turning point for the Hord Off Road Racing Team. At the start of the weekend Chad sat 110 points out of first place. With the win and top five finish he made up 35 points in the point standings. Now the gap has narrowed to 75 points and 6 points separate him from the top 5.
POMONA UDATE (SAT.)
After qualifying 3rd earlier in the morning for Round 9, Chad and
his team were very happy with the performance of their Boss Snowplow
sponsored Mazda. The LA Fairplex was buzzing with anticipation as the event was about to be seen live on SPEED. Hord lined his truck up on the outside of the second row of the 28 truck field. The trucks approached the starter's tower in the standard rolling start formation and the green flag dropped. Chad quickly made his way into 3rd, and the battle was on for the lead. On the 3rd lap Hord made the pass for 2nd, and chased down the leader. Moments later the leader went wide on the black top corner and Hord dove inside, capturing the lead. Fighting his way through lap traffic and several cautions, he cruised to his 2nd win of the 2008 CORR season. Chad moved up one position in the point standings to 6th.

Here is the new look of the Boss Snowplow sponsored Mazda of the Hord Off Road Racing Team. Along with the addition of Mazda, Chad Hord has acquired sponsorship for the 2008 CORR season with Amsoil and Trail Ready Beadlocks. Amsoil has long been associated with racing and provides the oil of choice to many of today's racers. Trail Ready is a manufacturer of beadlocks for many forms of racing and will soon launch it's own line of specialty wheels.
